DANCING WITH THE STARS 2011

The "Dancing With The Stars" 2011 roster has been set. On Wednesday, March 2, ABC announced the pairings for the popular dance contest reality show on "Good Morning America." The cast
members of Season 12 were revealed on Monday evening on "The Bachelor" but America was forced to wait two days for the partner reveals. So what's with the big secret? Probably something to do with Vegas odds or something...

Professional dancers Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy (who last season were partnered with Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Brandy, respectively) appeared on ABC's morning show to announce the 2011 dance pairs. Karina Smirnoff will be matched up with "The Karate Kid," actor Ralph Macchio. Chermkovskiy will be doing the cha-cha-cha with "Cheers" favorite Kirstie Alley. Oddly enough, articles around the Internet are choosing Alley and Macchio as early fan favorites.

Last year's "DWTS" winning professional dancer, Derek Hough, who has won "Dancing With The Stars" three times, will not return for Season 12. It was also announced that professional dancer Damian Whitewood would not be joining the cast for the 2011 season either. Hough's absence leaves only three professionals who have won the Mirror Ball Trophy -- Cheryl Burke and Mark Ballas, who have won it twice, and Kim Johnson, who won her only trophy in Season 9.

Season 12 matches up five female celebrities and six male celebrities. The pairings are:
