TV5's Willing Willie host Willie Revillame speak on his show tonight amidst cyberspace criticisms on Twitter and YouTube over Jan-Jan's alleged abuse by the show during the talent portion of the program. Jan-jan is the 6-year-old boy who auditioned for the show's Kantanong portion where he showed a dancing talent in a lewd manner (macho dancing). The live episode on March 12, 2011 gained various reaction from viewers both in support and in against the show. The said episode already garnered over 300,000 views on youtube in two weeks time.
In today's show, WR and TV5 issued an apology about the incident while the MTRCB and DSWD also issued their official statements on the matter in apparent disapproval of the show's treatment on Jan-jan's participation and in response to complaints submitted before the said offices. The controversial TV host said that the boy was there with the consent of the parents and that he had no knowledge about the talent the boy will perform. Is this another controversy for the controversial host?
